Menace was born in Detroit, Michigan from a well-established family of musicians. His father Paul Weeden and mother Terry Pollard are better known as the musician's musicians in the field of jazz music. Collectively they appear in the history books and encyclopedias of jazz music.

Menace's professional history dates back to when he was hired by top DJ and record producer Mark Kamins to play guitar for Madonna and recorded on her first album 'Everybody'. It is his guitar solo on 'Burning up' for which he received recognition in the recording industry. He also went on to play guitar in her band under the direction of Steven Bray, in addition to performing with Prince, Kid Creeole & the Coconuts, Lenny Kravitz, George Clinton and the P-funk all-stars, Nona Hendrix, Phyllis Hyman, Wyclef Jean and many others. He has worked with Billy Joel and appeared in his video 'Keeping the Faith', played bass guitar with Whitney Houston and appeared in her award winning video 'The Greatest Love of All'.

His solo career began in 1990 with his first album produced by Bill Laswell entitled 'Doghouse' on the JumpStreet record label in the USA and Europe. His next two albums were released on the P-vine / Polygram record label in Japan. In 1994 'The Life and Times of One Chocolate Baby' and in 1998 'La Mancha Negra'. In 2002 his fourth solo album, 'The Funkillium Trilogy' was released on the French record label New Power Soul Records and distributed in France and Europe.
